Connects 150mm (6 inch) flue liner to 150mm (6 inch) black stove pipe at the bottom of the chimney stack. Used in conjunction with a register plate, the register plate adaptor allows the flue liner to be installed and the dirty chimney work to be finished, leaving a connection for the appliance visible.
The register plate adaptor is installed at the base of the chimney either above or below a register plate. The connection above the plate allows flue liner to be connected. Secure with self tapping screws, and fill the gaps with fire cement or high temperature sealant. The adaptors plate should then be screwed to the register plate. Apply some heat resistant silicone so that register plate and the adaptor becomes air tight. The connection on the underside of the plate will fit into vitreous stove pipe.
When fitting the stove in place, the protruding connection on the underside of the plate allows for the stove pipe length to be raised slightly. This allows free movement of the stove below. Once in position, the stove pipe can then be dropped into the outlet of the stove. Once in place the joint between the register plate adaptor and the stove pipe can then be sealed.
