Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments.
We accept Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, UK Maestro (previously Switch), International Maestro, Solo (Mastercard Debit), Electron (Visa Debit), and Visa Delta. We do not support the following card types:- Amex, Diners, Laser, Irish Domestic Maestro, JCB cards, and Discover (US card only). All card payments are pre-authorised only at the time of order, and are not charged until your order is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

eBay and Amazon Marketplace Orders
We also market our products through eBay and Amazon Marketplace. Please be aware that prices may be higher through these channels to allow for the costs associated with selling products on each. Customers purchasing through eBay can pay using PayPal, whilst customers purchasing through Amazon Marketplace pay using their stored card details with Amazon.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

The majority of orders received through our web site are shipped to you directly via the warehouses of the manufacturers or distributors of the products in the UK. Most of our chimney products (twin wall flues, connnecting stove pipe, flue liners and pipe flashings are shipped via one of the largest chimney products stockists in the UK. The vast majority of orders will arrive next business day when you order online before midday, and choose express delivery at the checkout. Please allow more time for remote addresses, Isles etc. However, no reponsibility will be accepted for delivery times, and none are guaranteed.

Our online system allows for shipping charges to UK Mainland (Excluding Highlands) only. There will be additional shipping charges for shipments outside of this area such as Scottish Highlands and Isles, Isle of Man, isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland. Because of the varying nature of these charges, we will advise on an order by order basis, either in advance, or once we receive the order. Customers will then have the opportunity of accepting the additional carriage charges, or cancelling their order.

You must inform us by email within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by the delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Back Orders

Our suppliers are shipping up to 1000 orders a day. In order to fulfil this vast volume of orders, they operate a system whereby, if there is a product out of stock (a rare occurrence with over £5 million of stock!), and there is an equivalent product available, they will substitute one for the other, in order to fulfil the order. This system avoids the issue of back orders as much as possible.

Tax Charges

Chimsoc Limited operate in the UK only, and 20% VAT is added to all orders.

Credit Card Security

We use a third party payment service provider (Sellerdeck Payments powered by CreditCall) for all card transactions through our site. This offers full PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance for all payments. In addition, our internal systems are also compliant with the PCI scan validation requirement.

30 Day Money Back Guarantee
We offer a 30 day money back guarantee with all purchases. Should you not be happy with your purchase, then you can return the item/s for a full product cost refund. Please contact us before returning any items however. All items must be in original condition and unopened. We cannot offer credit for damaged/used/opened items.

90 Day Faulty or Damaged Guarantee
The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) states that all products supplied by us should be of "satisfactory quality", "as described", and "fit for purpose". If an item supplied by us doesn't conform to these criteria, you have the right to request money back within a "reasonable time". For us, this period is 90 days from purchase.

Shipping Charges for All Above Guarantees
Please note that we are unable to refund any carriage charges paid by you for your original purchase, and that you are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods to us. We recommend that you take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.

You are entitled to cancel your order within 14 days and return the goods within a further 14 days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition. Credit will not be issued where goods have been opened or used.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
